Making Maha's photography count

Maha Nasra Eddé  and I have successfully completed the first phase of our ongoing relationship as photographer and editor. The scheduling for meetings via Skype have been challenging at times due to our different time zones. Nevertheless, I want to commend Maha for her dedication and determination to achieve the common goal of editing her body of work and updating the look and design of her website. She did an outstanding job and I could not be prouder of what we accomplished together. I look forward to the next phase of the working relationship between us and welcome any comments. Her pictures really standout and demand attention. Maha is an incredibly talented fashion photographer and entrepreneur. She has accomplished all of this while managing her studio photography business in Dubai. If you are ever in the area, stop by, it is the buzz in Dubai's photo community.
Here is what we accomplished in the photo editing consulting relationship these past months.

Maha Photography

I am super excited to work with one of Dubai's most established fashion and commercial photographers. Maha Nasra Edde

Last week's initial consultation and reconnection via Skype was so much fun. Maha's work is extensive and very substantial. Our goal is to attract new clients, help her photography to continue to mature and grow and keep her on the cutting edge of fashion and commercial photography in the Middle East and the world.

Our first deadline is September 2013. Here we go Maha!

Navajo Coal by Mike Kane

Today I'm proud to present the recent project by Seattle-based documentary photojournalist Mike Kane,  one of the Pacific Northwest's most outstanding photographers. Mike was a staff photographer at the former Seattle Post-Intelligencer now better known as the seattlepi where I had the great responsibility to edit his daily work and special projects assigned to him. After the newspaper closed for business, we have continued to work together on his many projects as a freelancer. Although my journey as an editor has taken me to the Middle East, Central America and back to the U.S., Mike has always reached out to find how he can be better at his craft and I'm lucky to get the opportunity to see the raw takes from the thousands of frames he captures.

Most recently, Mike produced another important story for Equal Voice News (the Marguerite Casey Foundation) on the Navajo people of northern Arizona. The following edit was featured on MSN News. I'm looking forward to the next project. Click here to see the photo gallery.

Eustacio Photo Solutions, LLC.

The purpose of this blog is to proudly announce the formation of my photography business whose mission is to provide you with the best photo solutions.
As working photojournalists we all know the challenges that come when we sit down at the end of an assignment to look at our pictures and we often wish we had an objective professional to lend direction and perspective in choosing the right set of images.

This is where I come in. All of my years editing photographs and working with some of the best photojournalists in the country, I am continually amazed and encouraged by the power of the still image and how much it has become more important than ever. We know that still photography has merit and has the ability to engage an audience to act. That action can be financial, emotional or social. Whatever your photographic intentions, I want to be the other set of eyes for you in order to promote you the best way possible.

I love pictures. I love to edit photographs. Many of you already are familiar with my background in photography, awards and all of that. If you need me to repeat it, I can. But, trust me. I don't think is about that right now for me. I want to help you be successful as a photographer.

The following documentary is one of the proudest I've produced and it defined me as a visual anthropologist. I spent a substantial amount of years reading, researching, traveling, talking, meeting and photographing the people of this fascinating and historical American subculture. With the help of trusted colleagues and mentors, I exercised the art of photo editing and design.

Pass the word and lets get started!

cheers,
